Membership

SAGA North is a member-oriented club. We all work together and pitch in to help form a fantastic organization that allows gays and lesbians and their friends to ski and socialize.

As a member, you will be added to our member's-only email list. You can use this list to communicate with other members on things such as ski trips, the latest news or, perhaps, items you want to buy/sell. You will also be given access to the club membership roster so that you can contact other members individually. In addition, members receive our newsletter, and are able to attend special events during the year.

In addition, SAGA North relies upon the active participation of all of our members to make the club work. We have an elected board to head various committees, which is in turn responsible for Winter Trips, Summer Activities, Social Activities, Newsletter, Web, etc. We have trip leaders who help organize all of our summer and winter trips.

So why not become a member and help us to make the club work?

Guest Trips

We love new members!  If you are not a member now, come on one of our bus trips before you pay your membership and see how much you enjoy the club.

To sign up for over-night trips, and certain other events, you must be a member. However, for the 2008-2009 year, SAGA North will allow partial membership fees to be paid with each trip or event until the price of the full membership has been paid during a single year. Even with the first trip, you will have many of the benefits and responsibilities of every other member, including the members' email list, and club roster.

Membership fee

The membership fee for SAGA North is $35. The term of membership is from October to September, but non-members get the summer free if they sign up after April 1. Your membership fee helps pay for the newsletter, advertising for new members (e.g. the Pride booth, BAR ads), room rentals for free social events, and operational overheads (e.g. web hosting, fax service, storage, accounting).
