Alpine Meadows Bus Trip Report

Saturday, December 15, 2007

Those of us anxious to start the ski season took a chance on December snow conditions for a bus trip. It was a cliff hanger until the week of the trip. We got a little bit of snow and the resorts turned on the snow making equipment. We had planned on Alpine Meadows but they only offered two blue runs, so we diverted to Northstar with several runs open on both the front side and the backside, and 3 major lifts running. It wasn't the day for tree skiing (not enough cover), but the 12 of us who went all had plenty of runs to keep us happy.

For this trip, we just took the back seats in the Bay Area Ski Bus. That worked out well. We still had a good Saga group, and someone else did all of the work (including the light breakfast). Several new members came on this trip. We hope to see them all again!

If you went on this bus trip, and would like to add to this report, or send more photos, please send those to .
