Sugarbowl Weekend

February 24-26, 2006

Adventure is calling your name! It's time to rekindle old friendships and forge new ones as SAGA takes us to Sugar Bowl. Enjoy 2 nights of family style accommodations, 2 days of spectacular skiing, and camaraderie unparalleled by any other ski organization in Northern California.

In 1938 Walt Disney was among the visionaries who helped pick this picture-perfect location and placed upon it the first chair lift in California. What Disney and his fellow adventurers found was a prime location near Donner Summit: a place of precipitous peaks, steep narrow chutes, and wide open bowls. But more than that, they picked a spot that receives more snow than almost anywhere in North America. On average, Sugar Bowl receives over 500 inches per year.

Sugar Bowl has everything, including beginner slopes, snowboard parks, long cruiser runs for the intermediates, and even some hair-raising cliffs and chutes to get the expert-skiers adrenaline flowing.

Logistics

Saga has reserved comfortable, quality homes nestled in a nearby lakeside community of Soda Springs, just a few short miles from Sugar Bowl. These lovely quarters boast all the comforts of home, including expansive spaces, cozy amenities, and sweeping views. They will serve as the base of operation for all of our breathtaking adventures.

After a full day of action packed adventures on the slopes, we will gather back at the main house. From previous trips, we have changed the format: the Saturday evening dinner will be a potluck affair. So bring a special dish to pass and your beverage of choice. This is always a wonderful social event to help all of us to unwind and relax, play cards, visit old friends, and meet new ones.

Included with the price of the trip is a 2 day ski pass, lodging and evening amusements. Sign up now to come out and enjoy life at its finest.
