Utah
Ski-A-Thon
Fifth Annual

Jan 14-18, 2006

Champagne powder and caviar dreams… By popular demand, we're heading back for a five day trip to savor that incredible Utah powder snow from January 14-18. We are departing on a nonstop flight Saturday, January 14 from Oakland to Salt Lake City, and then hunkering down to our very welcoming host hotel --- you know, the one where every room is a suite, with a spacious living room, refrigerator, microwave, and 2 queen beds--- where we’re treated with a custom cooked-to-order hot breakfast every morning, complimentary cocktails when we come back from skiing in the late afternoon, and the entire staff treats us as VIP returning guests.

So what’s the line-up for this year's ski-a-thon? Glad you asked. Our friendly van drivers will be taking us on the first day to Snowbird/Alta ski areas. You pick which one you’d rather ski. If you can’t find a trail to your liking among the thousands of acres in either of these ski areas, then you’d honestly better stay home. Second day, we’re heading up to Park City ski resort. That’s right. While the projectors are reeling for the Sundance Film Festival, the un-crowded slopes will be beckoning. Third day, we’re heading north towards Ogden to revisit the site of the men’s Olympic downhill events at the 2002 Winter Olympics--- Snowbasin ski resort. You’ll be amazed by the variety of runs and lifts, and the incredible on-mountain lodges. Last, but not least, we’ll spend the fourth day skiing at the challenging but quiet and peaceful ski area (daily lift ticket sales are limited) appropriately named Solitude. That evening, January 18, we head to the airport for our nonstop flight back to Oakland.
